Force Pleated Hakama Pants
A custom 1 of 1 pants for a client drawing references from traditional hakama pants featuring 8 pleats, an elasticated waistband and an inner drawstring for added security.
The pleats on the pants have been force stitched on both sides which permanently sets the shape as Tencel does not permanently hold pleats due to it’s organic composition.
A skirt like silhouette has been achieved through the sheer volume of fabric and the lightweight nature of the Tencel allows the pleats to flow effortlessly.
The interior seams of the pants have been bound with Tencel bias for a seamless finish.
